You are not living next to everyone from the state of Washington and Oregon like I am. True, different situations. It's crazy listening to you guys in different states and how big of a difference there is in Americans just based on where you are at. I suppose upbringing and surroundings dictate a lot for what's considered normal. Probably best to keep the peace with most of the neighbors. Mrs Kooch sold something on craigslist the other day. The buyer wanted to meet in a public location. So, I went with her and we met the guy inside the entrance of the Burnsville Mall, the Chuck-E-Cheese entrance. I felt almost as if I'd gone back to the cracker barrel in southern Illinois. These were not my people, and this was just a couple miles from my house.

You are not living next to everyone from the state of Washington and Oregon like I am. This is one of my concerns when considering becoming a snowbird. I'm used to living with upper midwest people. Those folks from both coasts can be less than pleasant to be around. I am glad this group is normal.

Most people would just give in, mask up, lie about their vax status and not say anything. I ain’t most people. They get me for a neighbor, I could give two shits what they think. I tell them the way we are and let the chips fall. Oh well. Lol

For me, this is the real concern. I still have some reservations about safety of the vaccine, but it probably won’t matter for us older people. The government has pulled enough shit on us with this.

One thing different down here in OZ......is that those shoppers at Target, Costco, and many other stores are masking up again. I'd say 2 out of 3 (or more) are wearing masks now.....and the sign on the door says they are "suggested". Different than MN. It does seem to vary to some extent by the customer base at these different stores. Kinda surprising actually.

The regional metro south of me has a Target and a Runnings about one block apart. 2/3 wear masks in Target. Not a mask in sight in Runnings.

I'm seeing more and more older folks wearing masks again in Walmart. I see very few, if any in any stores in the town nearest to me.

I guess if people want to wear them so be it. Just dont be hatin' on me for not wearing one.
Then I am ok with it. To each their own. Dont push your agenda on me.

I'll be a bit surprised if mask mandates aren't put back into place in much of the T.C. metro in the next few weeks.

We are back to mask mandate. I just had to go pick up some scripts for my wife so I wore it as a chin strap. No one said anything, half the people in the store were rocking the chin strap approach. I also got my booster tonight. I don’t think I need it but if there is any % chance it stops me from bringing it home to my wife it is worth getting. Ironically her medical team is not allowing her to get the booster.

The next thing I'm expecting is having to show your vax card to fly. I'm not sure what my wife will do if that's the case. I'd rather not eat the cost of a couple weeks in FL, but I sure won't "force" her to change her mind.

Luckily the courts keep knocking down the federal mandates, unlucky that States can still mandate what ever they want.
