I got a question from my buddy and I would like ur guys opinion on it.
A bird and squirrel feeder was set up in a tree and one the ground. Both feeders are enclosed using 8' woven wire. In an area with a feeding ban, would this set up satisfy the DNR?

As with a lot of DNR rules, it probably would come down to the CO. Seems pretty clear to me that fenced in bird feeders should be exempt. "People who feed birds or small mammals must do so in a manner that prevents deer access. Place the food at least six feet above ground level." Source - www.dnr.state.mn.us/cwd/feedban.htmlThe second sentence though ^^^ could leave it open to a dick CO to write a ticket for feeding on the ground.
