Can you see those beds from the house? I can see the tip of the spruce planting, but not quite the beds.

This high spot I planted with spruce about 12-15 years ago? How many acres does this spruce planting cover? It is a triangle shaped piece of about 50 feet by 30 feet. There is a small swamp behind it and then two more spruce plantings of advancing age. I know some of the deer bed back in there. Neither of those plantings is over 1/4 acre. One is just two rows of spruce along a swamp(the old field edge).

You should have a good deer season next year art.
That's some crazy deer sign. You might need to kill a couple fawns or does next year. Those fawns taste pretty good-

The arrow points to the top of a spruce that I carried into the tag alders and planted years ago. I have released it three times, the last being post season this fall. There were five or six rubs and a bed within sight of that spruce.
