My brasscias have been going crazy, I even planted them later due to lack of rain, I think its all these high heat days and lack of frost, the daughter had to go and pick a few. Holy moley! Great turnips!

Next year, I should seed this whole strip to rye.

We have corn left in the upfront and outback plots. There is much less fresh deer sign in the front plot where we killed three deer. The back ploy has nearby crab apples, alfalfa, less hunting pressure, and a lot more deer sign. Both plots were tilled. So was the ground where the alfalfa and clover were planted two springs back.

This gimpy old girl just led three more to the corn plot. My neighbor texted me that there are about a dozen in the alfalfa field that is NE of the house.

Last night, seven came through the yard and headed to the corn after checking out the apple trees.
My neighbor texted me that there were 22 on my hayfield where I can’t quite see them from the house. His Dad said there were 9 more on this section.
My corn won’t last long at this rate.
They also saw 50 more split between two fields that are two miles west of me.

Lots of digging under the apple trees and in the yard during the night. they are even still digging for grass.
