At least for ours it was hooking the pto up first (every video I watched and manual I read had hooking the pto up last) and leaving the pto selector on the middle so that I can rotate the rear pto shaft on the tractor to help line up the splines or w/e the hell they’re called. No issues the two times I’ve done it now. Takes seconds and I’m off. We have the iMatch quick hitch. What model tractor do you have? I’ll have to look and see if I have a middle selection on my PTO, mine is a pull type. I have a JD 35-20. What works for me is I attached the PTO to the implement then attach the implement to my quick hitch. I lift the implement and use a board on the lift arms to rest the PTO shaft on. I have a couple of boards I built to get the PTO shaft aligned with the tractor PTO. I use a large screwdriver slipped through the spindle to help me rotate the PTO shaft to align with the tractor PTO splines. It’s a handful for sure but this is what has worked for me. I have had my 30 minute battles before. So far this method works OK but always looking for something easier.

The first three pics I posted do a fair job of showing the hydraulic top link on my tractor. Enlarge the pics to have a look. I's nearly fully extended on my planter. Inside the cab is a valve to control the cylinder position. It's amazing how often I use the top link to adjust things like my disk.....when before I would just leave it cause it's too much work to make changes.
I dont have a hydraulic tilt cylinder.....and could use it when operating my flail mower. When I shift the flail mower to one side it would be nice to lift the mower a bit in order to level it. For the little I need this feature it's too big of an expense to add it. If you do allot of excavating work or a full time farmer, I can see it to be needed.

Have you always planted brassicas this early or are you trying something new? I was just going to do a patch of collards. Then I figured I would put some others in the mix. Reason being.....I may be tight on time later this month for plotting....due to a granddaughters wedding, a high school graduation, then 4th of July family, and some friends from OZ are coming here for a few days. THEN....my wife will have heart surgery in early July.....and I will be involved in her care for a few weeks. Maybe by August I will see what gives. I'll be lucky to get things mowed this summer.

You’ll probably see more deer than ever if you don’t mow. Just leave the place alone and sneak in on opening day.

I'd bet a neighbor is baiting at foggys place. He has the best cover and late standing crops so the only thing that trumps that is a corn pile in heavy cover. I've seen it often at my wi place where baiting is legal. And also at my mn place where baiting is not legal and my neighbor was caught doing it.
Take away baiting and bucks move in daylight way more.

Thank god for established clover.

Outback food plot is heavier soil and too wet some years. It is doing ok. I touched up the foreground area with some roundup. No pictures, but my food plot by the house needs some rain, plus we have two patches of nut sedge on it. I think we just sprayed with roundup last year due to their bring beans in the outback plot. My neighbor added something for the nut sedge. I think that is what it is.

Animals ate every single sweet corn plant on dads garden. We had 8 rows about 60 yds long and 6 rows 25 yds long.
Maybe sweet corn is out of the cards

All of the corn is up about 2" so we fenced the entire damn thing. It's only about 5'-6' high but it's a pretty narrow area (12' or so) so we're hoping they won't want to confine themselves in there. Rabbits/coons can probably still sneak it/climb fence but at least we gave an effort this year. We'll see how it works. I also put some milorganite down.

I planted some buckwheat and jap millet (for the pheasants) on a home plot a couple of weeks ago. I can barely scare that damn rooster out of the plot every time by.

I planted a mix of sunflowers, buckwheat, millets, etc last weekend. We got no rain since then. My trail cam showed a damn turkey spending way too much time in that area for 3 days in a row. Even w/ the seed covered I'm guessing it's finding some to eat.
