If nothing else, just start chipping away at it as you feel like it. Every plot we ever made took 2-4 years to get it to where we wanted it.

How large of an area is this. Any possibility of burning the thatch off then WR & clover right before rain. [br This was what I was thinking of as well if you are worried about the thickness of the thatch. I always get nervous about burning fields but that is just me.

Nuke it and throw out a smorgasbord of shit....see what works. That's exactly how I started my throw n mow. After a couple yrs of doing it I came up with a pretty good system of what works and doesn't on my place. First step was just doing something and not giving a crap if it worked or was pretty.
