Boxelder gets browsed here pretty good. Other than that, it serves no purpose for me. I guess what to do with that area depends on your long term goals. If you have zero intention of getting the old machinery/steel out of there, and you don't mind boxelders then I'd probably go in and hinge a shitload of the boxelders. Boxelder hinges really well IME. I've got some that have been hinged for 9 years and are still growing very well. Some are big enough that I can now hinge limbs coming off the original trunk.

Offer it up on CL and see if any treasure hunters come pay you to take if off your hands. Maybe scrap prices have come up somebody'd do it for ya. Or the decorative types wanna lean some of that stuff up against their fence at home.

My buddy had a similar machinery graveyard on his farm. I picked up a cultipacker and drag, but I had to fight the boxelders to get them out. I'd probably lean towards slowly picking away at it and cleaning out both the machinery and the boxelders. I think that would be a good place for a nice spruce and shrub windbreak.

That is one cool spot! I would hinge it can you will have a great re-growth. I have a new doe bedding area now after I hinged a similar area (looks about the same)--except no metal/junk! HA HA

Brads got a new tractor and maybe he's looking to add more machinery to his collection. Otherwise yard art guy may be your best bet to have them cut it out. If you were closer I'd look it over. Here's what I have left from old disk blades a neighbor threw away.

If that's an old drag I may "help" get that out when I get up 😉.

FREE Iron for cleanup. <----add in CL may bring you some action. Pretty good money in scrap if you have some weight to it.

Did you hinge the shi# out of the boxelder? No I havent yet, thinking that may be a project for this winter. Ive been focusing my time on clearing out the food plot and selling as much of the old farm equipment that I can. We picked up and hauled out so far 4 tons of scrap metal, still have a ways to go.
