When I spent some time in the small pubs in Germany.....they would offer the local brew. Then you just order a Pil's or a Lager, or perhaps a Stout......and they give you the local fare. They all have glassware provided by the brewery that is featured at the pub.

yuengling is my go to beer. When in doubt at a restaurant I know I’ll like one of those. When I dont see a beer I might like on the restaurant list......I usually go for a Stella.......or in an Italian Resteraunt I will order a Peroni. Both good standby's. I have always avoided expensive beer in green bottles. If a place sells a lot of them, you're fine. If it doesn't, they taste like skunk. Just like I won't buy a High Life in a bottle at a bar around here. Nobody drinks it, so it sits there in a clear bottle and degrades.

I just had an Old Milwaukee, straight from the basement and not refrigerated. Not the light crap, either.

They are the only place I know that has it on tap.....and serve it in a mason jar. Good burgers too. It's a joint in the middle of nowhere....and has some of the best food and atmosphere around our area. I'd have to blindfold you to take you there.....so you would not find it again. . I dont want it to become popular. I like it just the way it is.

I’m good for beans this year. Hopefully I don't have to replant but time will tell.

Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner! Yep....it's an old honky tonk place in Ideal Corners. maybe around for 50 years? Yep....It's been there for a long time. It burned down once and they rebuilt it. I think when OLD MILWAUKEE beer was "as good as it gets" they started calling the place the Old Mil Club. .....and it stuck. Kinda a Jack Pine Savage clientele.....so You would fit right in. Grin. Good burgers and pizza......and they do have some good nightly buffet specials in the summer weekends. (tho I don't like all those old folks breathing on the buffet stuff....Grin.). Other good "joints' is "Harpo's" in Merrieild......and "Cowboys" in Lakeshore. I like the old "joints". EDIT: One of the bartenders at the Old Milwaukee Club is a gal that teaches pistol shooting locally. She also teaches in the Winter at the "FRONT SIGHT" which may be the best place on earth to learn how to shoot a handgun. IIRC the Front Sight is in Vegas?? I think her and her husband may be ex-LEO's.
