Where I am at in MN, it is pretty dry! I have a feeling the newly planted trees might suffer? Your thoughts

My spruce are pretty pale. It's been a dry spring for sure. Hopefully they make it.

My yard looks like August during a dry year.

I’ve been giving my 35 gallon water tank a workout watering this years and last years trees. That reminds me I broke the spigot yesterday and need a new one. The trees are sure drinking a lot. Not a good start. Hoping for some rain this week

Well, my experience planting bareroot pines that are 6 to 12 inches,,,,, didnt do very good in hot dry summers. Our first CRP tree planting was 3500 trees and it was an awful dry summer. We lost over 90%. We qualified for a CRP replant due to below expected survival rate.

Dry as hell here. If we don't get rain this week, things are gonna get ugly

Pretty dry here too. I've been watering once in a while. Can't step outside if it's windy without getting dusty.

I wonder how soon the drought map will creep back across MN? ND looks headed for a total loss if shit don't turn around quickly. The food belt is in rough shape.

Ducks might finally come back through MN again!!!!!
Although,,,,, as mentioned, food belt in rough shape. Just what we need. yet another reason to jack prices on shit. This is really fucked up stuff.
We havent had rain in ottertail county in over 20 days, no idea how we dont have some color on the map for the area.

I’ve seen more ducks on our lake because several ponds are dry.

Wheat was freeze damaged in KS this year. My friend out west sent pics of heads that are about 8% damaged and infertile. A lot to be determined so we can still get a good crop, but it might be less than normal no matter what happens the rest of the season.
Ducks here tend to stick around longer during the fall migration when it's wet than when it's dry. A flock might be here for 3 weeks... or 3 days.
