Who's attacked the dandelions in their yard with 2, 4-d? What do I need to know? I live out in the country, never really cared about my lawn enough to spray anything but it's become unbearable. I'm ready to fight the fight I think. What do I need to think about? I have a lot of clover mixed in as well and from my understanding that will get killed as well?
I'm assuming it will take a few spraying per year and a few years to get it somewhat under control. I don't think I'll end up spraying my orchard as that's probably close to another acre.
Any thoughts/guidance?

I used to care about how my lawn looked. My old lawn was more weeds than grass when I bought it. I spent many hours dethatching one year. Limed the heck out of it a couple years in a row, then started a crabgrass prevention program as well as spraying for broadleaf weeds. 2,4 D did "ok" on many broadleaf weeds, but not all. I started buying a product named Triplet from the local co-op. That shit cleaned up the broadleaves very well. Even the creeping charlie with a fall spraying.
That lawn looked about as good as a large country lawn could look without hiring it done when I sold. Went past last weekend...it's back to a weedy mess.
edit...I used a tow behind lawn sprayer back then. I don't think my current boomless atv sprayer would be the way to go on a lawn, too much collateral damage due to drift.

I'm pushing 2 acres if I do the whole yard/orchard.

We sell Mec Amine D to all the lawn guys here. 2,4D doesn’t kill the creeping Charlie. Mec Amine D will

I use triclopyr on the yard. Doesn't hurt fescue, could be bad for some other grasses.

Memorial Day weekend burn down for the plot that’s going to be planted to clover in August, with a WR nurse. I’ll hit whatever survived with another dose of glyphosate at planting. I used Ester last time I did something like this. Worked fine.

Best I can tell is 2 pts per acre but I’ll be damned if it states anything about how many gallons of water.
