Because I do bigger plantings and its just me I like to keep the costs down so I feel like i'm doing more with less. I usually use 2 '48 wooden dowels or bamboo' to hold the window screen off the tree when I plant one. They run about $24 bucks off amazon, I got them on clearance one time at TSC for like $.40 cents a piece but not many. I have some 5 foot PVC from some old tree tubes I used too. I don't stake my trees that are B118, ranetka, or Antonovka, I know why folks do it, its just a lot of conduit to buy and I don't have a means of cuttin 10 foot sections down and the 5 foot ones cost to much on their own. All my trees on those full or semi-stalks are standing up straight so far I haven't had a problem.
What do you guys do?

When your trees start producing keep an eye on the fruit loads up high. Pull them off if need be so your leader doesn't snap.

I don't use anything to hold the screen off the tree trunks. I don't stake most of my trees for support either, but do keep an eye on them when they first begin bearing fruit.
