I may move a few trees this fall.....and am looking for the right equipment to do this. What I plan is much like in the video below.
Anyone have some good advice on a bucket or other methods to do this stuff? this video is a good tutor for me.

Transplanting big trees in a drought year may not yield good results.

This ^ I'd be real hesitant. It's touch enough to accomplish this in a wet year and have them survive.

I agree. Forget it until another year.
I have also found that moving any tree, stalls out their growth. Sometimes moving a smaller tree with plenty of dirt will work out better.

Yep.....I know we need some better conditions for this stuff. I am a somewhat doubtful on this piece of equipment working for me too. Was hoping someone has some experience on this "shrub bucket". I do see some around....but I think most are for bobcat type units. I am wary to invest much in it. May see if rental shop has one or perhaps a better idea. They are just two miles away from my place.

As soon as I can break free for a few hours.....I'm going to see if either of the rental places have one of those. I need one too seldom to buy one.....and I am uncertain I got the stones to get it in the ground with my tractor.....saying that.....I do have some weight and a strong loader. ?? Be fun to try. Another option would be a track hoe for an afternoon.
