This is really a good video....and is the direction I am (finally) going. I think this is what so many have been trying to get thru my skull for a while. The game changer for me is the addition of my No Till Drill......as I have tried to broadcast into this duff before.....but was not very successful on a regular basis. I always thought it was due to my sandy soils. I got allot of hope riding on the new drill.

I'm interested to see how this works for you. It sure looks good on paper. I'm counting on this fall being able to work for me. <----The timing is questionable as dry as it's been. At this point I got nothing to show for the inputs I made in spring. If I'm gonna put a fair shot into this.....I'm going to throw about $500 more in fertilizer and several hundred dollars in seeds into about 7 acres in late August. Then....pray for some rain. The new NT drill comes here on WED. I'm going to nuke everything later this week....and plan to plant the week after?? Depending on what weather forecast looks like. Kinda hoping the rain we got will germinate some more weeds.....so I can kill the basturds and prep for fertilizer. Gonna have to skip a golf day or three.

I sweated a while today pulling waterhemp and pigweeds by hand thinking there has to be a better way. My old beans and brassicas plan still works at drawing in bucks, but if there is an easier way to draw them in I'm certainly interested. I just don't want to be the first one to but the $8k no till planter-

As we all know by now...results may vary. But from all I have read.....I feel pretty sure this is a game changer for me. My sandy soils should be easy to penetrate with a light duty NT drill. Stay tuned.

One big reason I am doing this is to play MORE golf. FORE! To tell you the truth, I have a heck of a time growing apple trees up there also. I have some surviving, but very few thriving. I have given up on food plots up there, also. I will just hunt the funnels in the woods near rut time. The popple clear cut will serve as a foodplot for a couple of years.

I plant apple trees for the deer and then fence them so deer can’t eat them as one farmer pointed out to me. I ain’t sure either of us have it all together anymore. But we are having fun!

Why don't you watch this video from the "experts" before you reply with your nay-saying? (huge grin). I know this is not a perfect plan for everyone...but it's better than what I am doing now. It's this or going back to nature for me. I'm tired of giving my money to MR HANEY and MR MO.....and the other snake oil salesmen that promote their elixir's. (grin). SD....why ain't you in my corner when I need you?

I have a 30”, 6 row 50 year old planter that costs a couple grand and I have no weeds to speak of in 300 acres of beans. So tell me the difference a no till drill makes?

Unless you follow a good seed, fertilizer and chemistry program. You will still have the same problems most other food plotters have. Even if you had a $150,000 planter.
