You all know we run our stuff a full bubble off plumb. It's been a fun exercise in trial and error, and lots of error at that. At the core of what we do is a never ending pursuit of understanding why. Why is this here? Why did this change? Why did this happen here, and not there? What is different in management practices here vs there? What conditions make this the dominant plant for this space and time? I was doing some personal enrichment this morning on fungi, and I came across an eye opener. Now, this dude did not connect the dots, but I did. I have long believed a key missing link in natural fertility and regenerative weed prevention is mycorhizal fungi. Below is a list of common problematic weeds that are un-killable without some advanced chemistry. We all know a few of them because we've had run ins with them. Notice the common thread between all these weed families. They do not associate with mycorhizal fungi. They don't need them to thrive. If we were hoping to put something in to compete with them, it struggles at best, because most plants require the big M to thrive, where these guys do not. They can retake the hill faster than the taliban made a fool out of biden, and with little resistance.

I kind of worry about you and your cat SD. Pretty soon you'll have dread locks, you'll be posting vid clips of Reggae songs, and you'll be wearing Birkenstocks. Maybe going to Phish concerts too

Don't leave out the peace sticker on the suburu. That's old school, all the cool people have Coexist stickers on their suburus now. Co-exist is communist jargon. There's nothing wrong with tribes. Seriously though, can you really replace a network of mycorhizal fungi with a bag of foo foo dust before the supers move in? I don't know, we've never used it. We are lucky in that our property is covered in plants that already host the MF everywhere, so no need to buy it.

Mycorrhizal spores can stay viable for years and are probably already in your soil even if you have abused it a while. Just needs roots and a little time to become a tribe again.

What does that yellow and blue equals sign stand for? I don't have a clue what most bumper stickers mean any more.

After spending money on a few products with endo and ecto maybe 15-20 years ago I did a bunch of research. Seems they are pretty much everywhere. All you have to do is treat your soil decently and there'll be plenty.
