Does anyone hunt mornings or mid day for bow, ever? I'm curious about sitting some lower probability spots for a couple hours mid morning, or even mid day. I don't know that I'd try my best spots, but don't deer get up and feed multiple times per day?

Sure, during the rut I'd sit all day. Have had some great success mid-day. Not sure what time period you're talking. I wouldn't do it much right now but in a few weeks for sure.

Yes. I've been known to hunt any time of day that I have time.
I'm less patient during the mid-day than I am early or late, but I've seen enough mid-day movement in my life to know that there's a chance.

I hit the one last year at 9:30am. During the rut I'll sit whenever/where ever. I've shot a few bucks in the morning. I like morning bow kills. Easy recovery in the daylight. It's probably a bit early for a morning sit but I did just have a daylight shooter 5 minutes after open the other day in the field plot. If duck hunting is a bust Saturday I'll be bow hunting Sunday morning. Full moon less than a week away.

The weather seems like it's going to be really nice this weekend. It'd be a shame to not be doing something in the morning and midday. Might have to go do some fishing in the commons and see what I can see.

But yes, I am sending him out, and I may go with him if the winds are good.

Midday can be excellent during the 3 day full moon period (Oct 19-21). Movement from 11-12 can be great. Otherwise, 2 weeks too early for all day sits imo.

I would opine that hunting midday before November wouldn’t just be fruitless, it would actually be much exponentially more likely to be destructive than productive. If you have unlimited hunting ground or don’t mind slumming it on public ground, then go for it. But for the rest of us with a very limited number of productive hunting spots, hunting midday outside of peak rut is a bad idea. From personal experience, I’ve seen two 150s from 10-2, shot one of those which was my best at the time. Still very difficult for me to sit middle of the day unless I have a known giant around on camera. This might be one of those years....

I like to hunt rut mornings (sometimes all day sits)… I usually change stands around 12:30, grab something to eat. But I like hunting all day if it’s cooler and deer are moving.

But the last week of oct through the first 2 weeks of Nov is all day sit territory. Even if you have days nothing is moving.

I save some areas for rifle season and hunt others for late October/ early Nov bow season.
