I know I'm going to have replace my old ATV sooner rather than later. I've looked at a number of new ATVs at price points between $9-$11K. A guy can get a Mule like this for not much more www.countrycat.com/machine-inventory/new-2022-mule-4010-trans4x4-dark-royal-redThe Mule won't go through my woods trails, so it won't really serve my needs. I was just a bit surprised that a guy could get a basic Mule for that price.

How much work would it be to widen your trails?

How much work would it be to widen your trails? I thought about getting an utv as well but, I have a few sections of trails that would need to be widened as well so I went for the atv. I’d seen low end Polaris Rangers starting at $10,500 and wondered why they were close to the price of the Sportsman 570 EPS I ended up getting for $9200. I rode in a friend’s Ranger and it felt cheap, as loud, and didn’t have power steering. Then I’d need to buy a larger trailer if I were to take it anywhere I decided to go with the atv. If I lived at my land I think I would have gone the utv route though. A few days of clearing would open up the trails.

I road in a 2WD JD Gator before in snow. I’d never buy a 2WD in snow country. It slid and spun all over the place.
