Every year I plant several thousand willow and dogwood cuttings. Planning on another mass planting this year. I usually take a couple days to gather material and store them in 50gal plastic barrels in water and basically plant asap. I would like to get a head start this year and get chopping soon. Is there a good way to store cutting for a month or so. Freezer? Wet burlap? I just dont want them to start rooting in the water before planting. We get too much thaw and freeze not straight freezing weather like a lot of you northmen.

Years back, I stored hybrid poplar cuttings in a Long plastic sleeve and in the freezer. It worked fine.
