Now that I’ve got some tillable acreage to play with I have more food plot options.
You guys that plant beans, what’s your ballpark cost per acre?

Bad road to go down. You should only consider how much you are saving buy not purchasing meat from a store.

^ This is an historic cost estimate. Sounds like inputs are going to go up so Mo would probably be the best guy to give an estimate.
These are estimates per acre.
Seed-$60 unless you can find it free. GLY- $20 4 quartz, two sprayings Amendments- $50
Total about $130 and acre.
You should be able to find seed for free through Pheasants Forever. You may want to add a pre-emergent or other additive to help the effectiveness of your gly. $50 dollars in amendments is applying 100% of what your soil needs.

I have RR beans Kooch. you are welcome to a few bags. Thanks for the offer BLB, but I won't be planting them this year. I'm just getting my ducks in a row for the future. All my focus in the first couple years will be cover. There's next to zero.

Gly is old newz. Got to have Liberty Link or something equivalent to grow beans now. 3 sprayings a season (minimum) if you have Palmer or Marestail. Stick with what the bat said about the price of freezer meat.
