Called Basecampleasing to see what my Missourri farm deer lease per acre would be and he said $40, maybe more per acre. Thats like $15k to chase deer and turkeys.
Anybody else have any experience leasing deer land?

I’ve been on2 leases before and we didn’t pay anything close to that. I’d have to dig up some old records to see our total during the last year.

I lease 40 wooded acres for $30 an acre. It's really more accurately 80 acres total, but the lease doesn't technically include the work ground (40 acres) even though we shoot door off of it.

I always figured Basecampbrooks@gmail.com was a multilevel marketing scheme As someone without marketing scheme it always amazes me how some people live each moment as a moment to make money. Not saying there is anything wrong with it, to each their own, whatever makes you happy. It's just not how I am wired.

Owning and managing hunting land can be a way of making money and making a living. For me, the hunting or ag land are part of an enjoyable way of life and to make some money is just a good benefit. Personally, I have some items that could be sold for cash, the $10-150 dollar items. I would rather give them to someone I know who would enjoy having them or use them, instead of being bothered by a number of people who just want to haggle down the price. Applied to leasing hunting land, liability would be an issue as a land owner and I don’t want to deal with it.

Many farmers end up owning unproductive woods when they buy additional production land. Each farm has a percentage of land that is woods, allot of that type of land gets leased to hunters as its not good for production and it gives the farmer an additional revenue stream.
