That’d be a way to put 40 acres of tillable land to use.
Would it have to be hard cider to be profitable? I’m unfit for that business.
We do already have a neighbor that comes for free apples from the yard trees. I think she juices them and sells the juice to the Mennonites. ( or whatever they are down the road)

I can see the label on the bottles now. "Nassau Deluxe" is a pretty good brand name TBH.

I should plant a few seedlings and see if I can find one with naming.

I should plant a few seedlings and see if I can find one with naming. I've got four seedling apples growing that originated here. All four are decent for fresh eating. One is pretty exceptional IMO. I've grafted a number of other seedlings that I've found. Today I picked a bird damaged fruit from one of those seedlings to try. It's going to be another good eater I think. Still waiting on the others... That said, most of the seedling crabs here are spitters.

Sprayed the planting spots today, I squeezed in a 6th spot. You can barely see the orange marker flags. I also ordered some 5’ welded wire rolls. $$$$$ good lord they are pricey. Ish…. Oh well.
