It makes it twice now that someone has monkeyed with my Reconyx camera. They deleted the pictures and reversed 1 battery and when I check the camera, no pictures and low battery. I will have to buy the bear proof boxes for them. The cameras now have python locks on them.

Did they mess with it twice in the same location?

I had a problem with trespassers when I first bought my place. It was from people who were given access to it when owned by the former owner. I spoke to them and explained I now own the place and they were no longer allowed in or through it. Well that didn't work, but here's what did. They always used the same trail using my place as a short cut. This trail happened to go by my shipping container/shed. Seems that I may have forgotten to pick up a piece of plywood that had some nails in it. I also had some 100 lb test mono that got tangled between the tree's just above the ground. From the looks of the plywood I'm guessing someone must have tripped and fell on it. I only wish I'd had put a camera on it. Never had them back since. But I do agree I think someone you know is messing with ya. Just set up another cam to see who it is then get revenge.

Sounds like a good time to cover the batteries and latch with itching powder, ink, or something fun like that.

With the history of theft and other crap you've had I think it's time for the cellular cam.

I'd be worried about them just spray painting the lens or taking a hammer to it if they can't get in it. I'd try to get another up 10+ feet into the air to catch them screwing with it.

Do you have a hc500 or 600? You can set them up to be password protected, so at least they are worthless to anybody who takes them.
