Saw this on Facebook. The wolf was collared in Upper Michigan. Traveled thru Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, back to Minnesota, Ontario into Manitoba where it was killed. Quite the journey.

Quite the journey. that wold was very close to where I live and probably very close to many of us on this forum. I had an old map from a wolf collared in Camp Ripley that wandered into Central Wisconsin and then back close to my home. In a book by Mech from the early 2,000’s.

That’s amazing. We had a black wolf in Pope County cross my farm by Villard. The DNR had multiple calls/sightings. They said a young male that had left his territory and was finding food fairly easy.. deer? Rabbits, I’m guessing..?

Any more data on the travels? How many rough miles is all that? In how long?
At least it was a happy ending.
