I am hoping both of these bucks stick around and fill out, still young, great upside!

Young is a term that means different things for different people. I don't think they are young, they look like older bucks that are typical of late winter. I bet they looked a lot older around Halloween.

Good point, I fall prey to that alot when looking at deer for age. Different times of the year its not easy to picture what he will look like come November 1st. No question that 3 months ago, they were some badass mofos.

No matter what time if year you have some nice bucks. Pictures like that make for exciting time in the stand.

The one buck is the same as the buck in my avatar. I sent it to 2 guys down in Iowa both with 1000+ acres and many B&C under their belt--both I would say are extremely good at judging age, and they said young deer (3 or 4 years old). Keep in mind serious management minded landowners often will not shoot a buck until age 5 in Iowa
Again, I would say 4, but I kinda doubt 5??

Not even going to try to guess age (not even a "young" or "old" guess), but I will say they are both nice deer with great characteristics! At what age do you start shooting bucks like this? If you saw that deer and thought it was 3.5 do you pass? If you saw that deer and thought it was 7.5 do you take the shot?

I could see them being 4 if that is a consensus 4 in the area, but I have a hard time believing 3.
