I have a lot of apples in the yard orchard this year, I thought I'd pick them all and cook them down in a crock pot and freeze a bunch. Anyone got any go to recipes to make Cinnamon Apples?

We haven't made any cinnamon apples, but the interwebs appear to be full of recipes. We do make spiced/pickled crabapples using cinnamon heart candy, but that's an entirely different deal.

Good luck with them Well thats interesting, ever used Chesnut or are you using those small 'hard' crabs? We've used a few Chestnut, but usually we go with a mix of our Wild Red crab #1 and our not Whitney crabs. Chestnuts usually get used for fresh eating, but that's because my tree is small yet and doesn't produce that much fruit.

I cooked down some cortland (I really love eating these ones), Gala, Fuji, Chestnut, & Granny Smith over the weekend. 1 full sink worth, filled 2 crock pots.
I used reg sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, cloves, & nutmeg. I'm not gonna lie, I was glad after filling 6 bags for the freezer there was a small bowl for me. LOL.
I have another sinks worth to do. Its a pain peeling them!
