I meant LP. Same chain of stores. My mind is slipping.. I'm much slower minded than I used to be. Since Dad had Alzheimer's, I always wonder if this is the beginning of the end. So Stu, how many years have you and I been grumbling and arguing on the various forums? I gotta say that I learned a lot from you. Thanks.

Pretty much as long as there's been an internet I've learned plenty from you as well Art. I remember thinking why on earth anybody would want to deer hunt in MN, and where do I end up?

I am sitting here laughing at your answer. It is what it is and in 20 years for me and 30 for you, it won’t even matter. So I bet we have ‘known’ each other for over 20, almost 25 years. Dang we are getting old.

Yep, we are getting old I was just reading the thread on H-T about the end of deer hunting B.S. They are having the same discussion about MN habitat/MNDNR/MN deer hunting that was had way back then. It's almost humorous, but I can relate to both sides of the discussion now. I'm to the point in this journey where I'd tell all those guys to sell their land in MN and go hunt in the Shangri-Las they consider WI/IA/IL/SD/ND/wherever to be. edit...oh yeah, if I'm around in 30 years I'd be amazed. Neither parent made it that long, only one grand parent got close. They all lived cleaner and healthier lives than I have. I figure I've got 20 years left if the big C leaves me alone.

how long were you on FM(Fishing MN/Hotspot Outdoors) Stu/Art? Man, it had to be 20+ years ago for me. I was on there very sporadically. I think early on I had an account there, then let it lapse for many years...until I moved here and got involved with MDDI At one point early on in the internet forum days, I was very active on Lake-Link which was largely a WI "outdoorsy" forum. Got booted off for profanity and arguing/threatening with a douchebag who was a big wig in WI Bowhunters (He got the boot too). Not too many years later he got busted for illegal baiting while bowhunting. I got to know and met a number of guys on that forum. Some of those guys were active on the old Q form too. I'm pretty sure we were the first guys who came up with the concept of private "land tours" after attending a few field day events put on by Q branches. At least we were the first to talk about it publicly anyway. At my old jig shop I had a couple "meet and greets" for guys on L-L and Q. Drank beer, shot the shit, ate venison sausage products, had a couple taxidermists there...good times.

I am at about the age when my Dad was diagnosed. Ya that kind of stuff makes you think. Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer right around age 70 as I recall. Mom with non-Hodgkins lymphoma somewhere in her mid 70s. Neither of them died from their cancers...so at least at there's that. A guy can't spend too much time worrying about stuff that's outside your control.
