Does anyone pay a farmer to plant crops for them or to plant several acres of food plots?
I’m wondering what the going rate is to pay someone to plant per acre of beans or corn. ( including fertilizer, spray, etc.

( including fertilizer, spray, etc. I’d find your guy and just ask. They’ll prolly end up with half bags of seed and love to make a few bucks using it instead of trying to find a place to dump treated seed. That shit is toxic as hell and a pain in the ass to get rid of. I think they’re starting to wise up and quit dumping it around their well fields after the Mead, Nebraska incident.

Part of the equation is size of their equipment and size/access to your field. Don’t forget who is going to do the weed control.

I cash rent my farms and have the farmer leave me one acre of crop as part of the rental agreement.

I want some larger plots on my new place and I'd prefer to pay the farmer to plant, fertilize and spray them so I don't have to. He is coming up with a price per acre for me, but I'm just curious what the going rate is for that type of thing.
I'm also starting to look into drain tile since there are several wet areas on my new place even though the terrain is somewhat hilly. I figure that if I probably should look into these options now

I think it would range from $350-700 per acre ? That’s based on guys I’ve dealt with.
