I don't know about the corn but soybeans are bagged by 140,000 seeds per bag. Depending on seed size each bag weighs in the 50 to 60 pound range. It has been this way for quite a while. MoBuckChaser could probably she'd some more light on this.

These are what my NWTF chapter offers. No beans except in a mix. Would that wildlife buffet be a good mix for $26?

It looks you are posting options from the Seed Subsidy program, there is also a Conservation seed program www.nwtf.org/conservation/category/seed-programI think the Seed Subsidy program you can get 1 bag from the state chapter(I had to fill out a form and mail it in), and the corn\soybeans is Conservation seed program and is from your local chapter In the past I have gotten 1 bag of Clover seed and the 1 bag of Sorghum seed through the Seed Subsidy program. I had to fill out a form and mail it in, the seed was mailed to me. The year I got soybeans I got though the local chapter and got 3 or 4 bags. I emailed one of the guys running the chapter and had to pick up the seed the day they did their distribution.

Thank you Kabic. I wished I'd known that last weekend. I was at a chapter banquet and the regional director was there. They never mentioned anything about that offering. I'll email him.
I'm thinking of getting a bag or two of that triple threat clover for $3 a pound shipped.

When I did it though Wisconsin we could get 1 bag at reduced price(any item) and then additionally bags wee full price. They must tailor the seed options to the area of the US. The year I got clover I got: Longevity Clover Mix: Crimson Clover 41.43% Ladino CLover 24.54% White Duch 20.80% Yuchi Arrow Leaf 12.49% Also a 12 lb bag...my boring thread on it is here(the one thing I saved from QDMA forum): habitat-talk.com/index.php?threads/kabics-clover-thread.5567/

Oh I remember that thread. I loved it. Any updated photos of the plot? I left it clover for 2 or 3 years, than tilled it up and planted soybeans. Than last year I tilled it up planted the sorghum. This year I frost seeded the QDM clover mix I got from the store that whip recommended. 20 % White Dutch 20 % Asike 20 % Ladino 20 % New Zealand White 20 % Chicory Probably will get some medium red to add to it at some point. I expect to see some sorghum to self seed and reappear as well. I probably could have gotten more years out of the NWTF clover but two factors made me change 1) I have limited area where I can plot and planting stuff is fun 2) I got tired of mowing around the stumps. Changing crops gave me a chance to dig some out. My Father-in-law says he will bull dose the stumps out, but I don't think it is priority for him. He has 2 Deere dozers (350c or 450c not really sure)...one with a bucket and one with a blade. He is the type of guy that will buy something that needs work and is a deal and then fix them. Pretty sure they are both needed work on steering when he got them but are operational now.

I spoke to the NWTF regional guy. He said they didn't offer any of the soybean or corn for my area this year. He said they'd tried corn in the past but, very few people wanted the seed. I told him I'd be interested in soybeans next year so we will see what happens.
I did order two packages of their triple threat clover (crimson, durana, patriot). That was delivered via FedEx tonight. $32 for 12 pounds delivered seemed like a deal.
