Finally got up to land yesterday. Found one deer carcass in middle of food plot. Appeared to be a fawn from last spring. Don't know what killed it but for sure it wasn't wolves.

I had two dead fawns like that and I'm pretty sure it was a coyote. I later killed the coyote after watching it chase a group of deer. I believe the fawns had injuries prior to being killed. I later saw another injured fawn and I believe the coyotes bite at their back legs causing the injury which will obviously slow down the deer making it more vulnerable.

I am thinking the same as it was a mild winter. By looking at the size it was a late born fawn. I would rather see the fawn than an upcoming 3 year buck.
