Went fishing yesterday and got a nice walleye. Didn't get an accurate measurement before releasing but know it was over 25 inches. Yea I know I should be smiling but was looking straight into sun and stupid brother didn't catch it when he took picture.

Bay of Green Bay. They have a special regulation allowing one walleye over 15 inches until the regular opener of fishing season.

Great walleye! What does that measurement convert into in pounds? I never measured them, just weighed them. I always got pretty excited about an eye going over 5.

Great walleye! What does that measurement convert into in pounds? I never measured them, just weighed them. I always got pretty excited about an eye going over 5. I am not 100% sure but I would think that this one was in the 5 to 6 pound range. It really varies when they are spawning. My 29.5 inch walleye in Canada was just over 9 pounds. All I know it took a while to boat this one in as it kept taking drag out. Didn't want to horse it with 6 lb. line.
