I don't have a bucket list yet in retirement, but I think I found the first thing. A Russian cruise line offers cruise trips off the Somali coast for $5400 for a 5 day trip. Why would you go on a trip off the Pirate infested coast you say? Because on board the ship is filled with with weapons and special forces guys, and if attacked by pirates, you get to shoot right along side special forces guys with your own AK 47 at the pirates. What a trip that would be!

When I left Bandit out of her kennel, this weasel was keeping and eye on her. She was focused on a chipmunk. Maybe he wanted the chipmunk as well. I think he was a short tailed weasel. Three species of weasel in Minnesota.

Three species of weasel in Minnesota. I took a video of a similar looking weasel while on stand in Wisconsin last fall. It was hopping around checking under brush piles and then it ran up a big oak tree. It found a hole in the tree that apparently held a mouse since when the weasel came down the tree it had a mouse in its mouth. Weasels are pretty cool critters. When I was a kid, I accidentally caught a couple of them while using pan traps for gophers. That would be quite a fight if a little weasel met up with a full sized pocket gopher.

Heard and saw bluebirds today. It's usually March 20th (ish) when I first see them here. This is by far the earliest I've seen them at this location.

Heard and saw bluebirds today. It's usually March 20th (ish) when I first see them here. This is by far the earliest I've seen them at this location. My sons opened up the bluebird houses last weekend and evicted the mice that had taken up residence over the winter. They left them open to dry out, but if the bluebirds are here I guess it is time to shut them back up so they are ready for the birds.
