With the many changes going on at my place this year.....I'm uncertain what I am going to plant. I have a pretty good inventory of seeds from last year.....and I'll be getting some beans from Art.....If I get down to his MDHA chapter for their Spring fling. Still....sometime early this summer.....I gotta make a road trip over to MO's place and buy some cloth and some kinda seeds and such from him. It would be fun to buy a few beers maybe a little lunch and learn more about his operations. Then too....there is always the school board elections to plan (WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU thINKING to run for school board??? - you don't need that!) The Barracuda is going with me on Friday to deliver chemicals and seed, go to the gun fair in Little falls, and bar hop on the way home! Come on with Foggy! I promise we will have a good Time! You never know.....I may just see you there. (will email or contact you if I can go) Lots going on here with just getting back to MN......and getting a new vehicle and boat. Gotta get my "toon" tomorow after going up to my land and making a mulching plan. Been kinda on the run for an old guy. Missing my afternoon naps (I never take 'em....but young folks think we all do) and not keeping up with all the yard work and changes to my deer land. Still...the list is getting shorter. In a week or two.....I won't know what to do with all my free time......but spring is allot of work at the lake! FORE!

Looks like a quart can be had for around $60-$70. Reading up on the stuff makes me a bit nervous, but then again so does any other "new to me" herbicide.

Most people don't! It is very similar to Pramitol, nothing will grow there for a year or more. So be aware of that.

I'd say your good to go. I've found that in my canary grass I don't really get a complete kill but set it back enough my trees can grow. Have some tree rows that I need to get rid of the grass. Does cleth hurt any of these trees? (have apple, nannyberry, chokecherry, cherry, hybrid willow, cottonwood) Do you spray around or over the top?

I've just sprayed it over pine and spruce so those are the only ones I've had any experience with. I think Stu may have sprayed it on or next to other kinds of trees with success. I hate to tell you to go for it and have you kill some trees.

I don't go over the top of my fruit trees, but I do use cleth on the clover plots that grow under the fruit trees. I always use NIS there instead of crop oil, just trying to avoid burning the fruit tree leafs. I have gone over the top of spruces and pines with cleth and crop oil, no problem. The cleth label tells you what to do www.cropsmart.net/Products/Clethodim/CropsmartClethodimLabel2008.pdf

OH YEAH! Good to see you here! I knew that name.....just could not put it into context. Me and SB's are not on speaking terms anymore. I've really had bad results with them. Likely I am not a good enough farmer. Grin,
Did you get bored over at the "old sites"? Hopefully you hang here for a while.

Yep, I'm the guy you got SB from. I got as bit of that also. Thanks to foggy. I invited Nitro to this site as he was asking about fruit trees in northwestern Minnesota.
