Do any of you guys use a foam marker for your sprayer? No. I go off of tire tracks. I usually do two burn downs about three weeks apart to make sure anything that is slightly resistant is gone and anything that germinates once the taller competition dies down is gone too. If I miss a strip here and there it gets taken care of the second time.

Do any of you guys use a foam marker for your sprayer? I seen a really cool marker system a guy made using a can of shaving cream for the foam. It was on Tractor By Net. Do a search if your interested in that marker. It was a few years ago.

Do a search if your interested in that marker. It was a few years ago. Currently I only use a backpack sprayer. I've been thinking of getting one for the ATV. Been watching videos & researching. Leaning towards a boom type currently. Saw a lot of videos of homemade foam markers that can be made rather cheap.

I just picked one of these up, they are out of St. Croix Fall, WI. A buddy of mine saw them at the MN Deer Classic. I was going to buy a boom for my Fimco but liked some of the features on this one so I sold the Fimco. Used it twice and I like it better than the Fimco. I went with the boomless version but had them change the spray tip on the left side to a standard tip for more control. 1. It has sump at the bottom of the tank so nearly all the water/herbicide is usable rather than having a few gallons sloshing around the intake hose sucking air. 2. The screen is at the top of the tank so if it's plugged you can get to it even if the tank is full. 3. There is no drain plug which always seem to leak. To empty or wash out the tank you remove the hose at the point it goes to the spray bar, turn it on and the water pumps out. Works slick. 4. The frame is very beefy and straps down solid to my wheeler. 5. It also has a rotomolded tank and a better pump than the fimco's so they tech guy says. www.frostserv.com/index_files/Page1200.htm

^ Sure sounds like those guys at Frost know what they are talking about. I can relate to every one of those deficiencies on the Fimco sprayers. PITA with the drainage issues. Lacks a decent frame too. I made a frame from wood. etc etc. Nice catch!

Talked with the Frost guy in charge of wildlife sprayers this morning. He is a fairly recent hire. The main company produces ag grade sprayers up to 500 gallons. He is in charge of the ATV UTV and some 3 point. Keep you guys posted if something pops.

I checked them out, they aren't shy on their prices. Ya. $650 for a 25 gallon sprayer. I believe I paid around $200 for my 25 gallon sprayer from Northern Tool 3 or 4 years ago. It was still working last fall, so I assume it will again this spring. I could buy the same sprayer 2 more times for what I'd have in a Frost. Can I expect to get 9-12+ years of service out of a single Frost sprayer?

My fimcos have never missed a beat. Toss it on the atv rack and 2 ratchet straps. Off i go. Only thing i added was a T connector so i can prime it with some water.

I just got in the house and don't feel like walking back down to the shed to check. Pretty sure it's a north star
