This broken off bent over tree had bright white blossoms. I took a closer look and it looks to me like a bear must've climbed it for the black cherries last year and bent it over. It's blossoming now way ahead of my other local black cherries. I was hoping it was the elusive wild plums I've never found.

I'll try to snag some plums this year and get you some pits.

Could use an ID assist on this one. It was pretty well entangled so I hadn't noticed it before. Looks to be something different than what I have seen before.

I'd like to know how big the fruits get when they mature. I've got a few haws here that produce decent sized (maybe nickel sized) fruits.

I'll post a pic when the fruit shows up. I cleared away the competition and based on blossom count it should be a good producer.

If it is a actual Hawthorn and not a fake hawthorn. Don't pick any blossom's. Old timers say it can bring bad luck or death to you or your family.....

I took the serviceberry picture last sunday and chased a couple cardinals out of the tree when I took the picture. Went back there today and they were cleaned out. Mother nature moves fast. I did grab a couple pics from what you helped me identify as some type of hawthorn earlier in the thread. Quite a few on there right now. I'll keep checking in on it, do they typically sweeten up in October?

Most of my hawthorns ripen in September, and most aren't very tasty. I do have a couple hawthorns with bigger fruit (still quite small) that are "ok" tasting. The seeds take up most of the fruit though

The seeds take up most of the fruit though I have Hawthorn that you will never find fruit on the ground and I have some that the fruit is still there when the snow melts. Grosbeaks love them, they will show up in a flock and go from tree to tree. I have also seen partridge families in them.
