Always trying to learn new things, whether it be easier, more affordable, more effective, or just plain more fun. I've got a bunch of things I would like to try in 2017.
A gypsum/no gypsum side by side comparison on clover Skipping grafting and just planting dolgo seedlings Messing with micros in food plots Using WGF sorghum in my area Trees without tubes (cage/mesh instead) Year one of the shitpile (native) seed bank project Experiencing alder regen Starting a wildflower plot Snip and plant same day willow cuttings Trying to fix old logging ruts with a skid steer Cleth on conifers My own freestanding blind design (with full box blind upgrade available later) Lime and gypsum on bur oaks Growing clover under bur oaks
That would all be new to me. You guys got anything new you're messing with this year?

Trying to formulate a "tweak" to an existing brand of fish pellets. A product a pond owner can add to his food or mix it into his pellets to drive up the palatability. Not sure if this is even possible but I believe would be a great value. Are you currently feeding? If so, which brand do you prefer? Sorry for the Hijack SD!!! Cat please post your response in the pond thread.

I don't think you can go wrong with planting dolgo seedlings. You will get a variety of small deer apples at the most and some bird sized crabs to rework at the least.

Not really trying anything new just more of the same ol',same ol'. Planting more Norway Spruce for bedding and cover, planting food plots, and trying some red splendor crabapple, mountain ash and elderberry around the properties. Oops,1 more thing, help the neighbors dog find doggie heaven.

I am going to have to do all my work with one arm in a sling this spring. Time for hunters to step up and help for sure now! Or I will be hinge cutting one handed by myself! Its going to be interesting how this is going to go this year!

That tells whether or not you are a girl or boy. If you have an "erect arrow" you are a boy, if you have an "upside down cross" you are a girl...........

No, golf can wait a year if needed, Habitat crap needs to get done, well, should get done. I am going to try and get some things done before I go in. But the boys are going to have to step up!
