Need some help. I have a couple of small plots that I want to no-till beans/corn into. Both have a nice crop of cereal rye growing over knee high. How would you do it? Spray, wait, plant, roll? Plant, roll, spray? I am worried that if I plant, roll, spray I will miss killing the wicked crop of broadleaf weeds I have growing down by the ground if the rye is laying flat on top of it. Thoughts?

I would like to see your no-till unit.
I would spray, drill then roll. Agree you need to get the underlying weeds so I would not roll until you have sprayed.

It isn't anything special. Just an old two row corn planter that should get the seed just deep enough in my sand. I just run beans through it, works fine.
After spraying....how long would you wait to plant/roll?

I think you can plant immediately after you spray. Gly only works on living plants so it won't hurt your seed. I would allow the gly to dry before you roll but you could do it same or next day. Depending on rain your not going to see your plant emerge for a least a week.
Soybeans will grow on almost anything as long as they have moisture. Some rain and you should be good to go.
