I have 4 ladder stands to sell, briefly mentioned in another thread so I decided to post them here. In the end of April I would be willing to deliver them to most areas in central MN from the WI border over towards brainerd and alex or metro area. Bought new two years ago, left in boxes until last summer and assembled at that time. So they are in a barn assembled into their main sections. Hunting buddies bailed on me, so never ended up needing to put up more stands. Pulling the plug on MN hunting for a few years so I won't be needing them. Two - Big Game Legend 20' stands, want $150 each, or $275 for both, comfortable flex tek seats, large foot platform, see link for specs: www.midwayusa.com/product/186751/big-game-the-legend-single-ladder-treestand-steel Two - Big Game 16.5' (maybe 17', but for some reason 16.5' sticks in my mind) stands, want $75 each or $140 for both, don't remember the model but they have the flex tek seats and large foot platform, not the small platforms you can't fit your feet on. Pretty much the same as this current model at cabelas: www.cabelas.com/product/hunting/hunting-treestands/ladder-treestands%7C/pc/104791680/c/104783580/sc/104271480/big-game-treestands-nextgen-stealth-deluxe-ladder-stand/1376166.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse.cmd%3FN%3D1100103Would sell all 4 to one person for $400. Where are you going to start hunting? Just curious as I often think about doing the same.
Missouri, Kansas?

Planning on moving to northern Idaho. The area of Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Post Falls area depending on where we find jobs. Might end up working on the Washington side of the border in Spokane, but would prefer to be Idaho residents for outdoors purposes. Get to hunt damn near everything there, and great fishing all over too. Might only be an adventure for a few years, or could be much longer term.

If I was a young fella like you I might do the same thing. Pretty area and you are right you can hunt many different animals.
I have never hunted Idaho but I should, they don't require preference points so you can buy over the counter and I believe the herd is pretty good.
You will have to post pictures, I'd love to see them.

If you were near me I'd buy those stands. If course if you were near me you would have deer to hunt.
I knew a couple from our church. She a nurse and he a teacher. They picked up and moved to Boise about 5 years ago. Last I heard from them they had no regrets and they weren't even hunters.
Skiing hiking snow mobiles etc. Boise is a small city that allowed them to work but they could get to the fun stuff easily.
Sounds like a good move.

My deer hunting isn't too bad compared to some of the guys in MN. We have talked about moving somewhere else for a while and kicked around different ideas for a couple years before settling on this area over 6 months ago. Also going to take a couple month break after selling our house and quitting our jobs and travel around out west a bit. Planned things quite a bit, now just have to decide if we want to put in a 3 month notice at work. We both work at small companies that I think would appreciate it, but my place might be a bit annoyed.

Hunt whitetails, mule deer higher up (or further south in central ID), elk, spring and fall bear, wolves, mountain lions, etc. Looks to be the best state outside of Alaska for drawing moose, sheep, and goat tags as a resident. I told my wife we may have to stay until we get a moose. This winter might be tough on the elk depending on what you read online, but looking forward to a bit of adventure.
