The whole thing with not be able to use left over RR seed is a scam. What other product that you buy that if you have left overs tell you that you can't use it. Total bull shit.
The whole thing is a scam to start with. Think about how much more efficient we could be if we could harvest and reuse seed. Instead we have to truck and ship and pick up new seed every year. That is a lot of time and fuel wasted. I understand Monsanto wants to get paid for their product but it sure would be nice if they would come up with a better system.
Oh its not a scam at all. These companies have spent billions developing these seeds and they fight very hard to protect their interests. And a lot of the seed that NWTF gets is discontinued seed, or seed that has not made warm or cold germ specifications. So they are able to give it away or sell it at a discount with Monsatan's approval. So if a guy wants to save poor quality bagged seed, they will let you do that! LOL!

Everyone saves seed, BUT, saving traited seed is against the law. It has to be dumped if it is not treated. If treated, it is suppose to go back to who you bought it from. Unless otherwise authorized by Monsanto or any number of seed breeders that may have a patent on the seed. That is why I say I would not announced it. people get caught and fined heavy for saving seed every year. So Just saying. No shit? Farmers I presume??

Never had a problem with NWTF seed growing and producing a boatload of beans.

I have had great luck with the NWTF and MDHA corn and beans. Planted it many years.
My only issue I am concerned with annually is getting water on the plants in the gravel pit we call our food plots.

Most guys do have good luck. It just doesn't make farmer standards or why would they discount it down to nothing to get rid of it? It may only be one percent under the germ allowed and you would never know it as a food plotter. Just not enough quality to make state regs.

Have you had a chance to take a peek at the spruces you planted? I've been wondering how they're doing.

Spruces we planted were a few years ago. Decent turn out for the most part.
Factor for all trees has been just rain in general. When we did the 3500 tree planting 7 years ago(I think), we got no rain. Burned up 90% when we did our count for the FSA/NRCS that same fall. Did a replant the following spring of I think around 2000 trees, and that was the one where we did all Norway and Black Spruce.
