1. Why do so many singers have to lip sync to the version of the N.A. they previously recorded?
2. Why don't teams just hire people that can actually sing?
3. Most importantly...If you're at an establishment watching a game, how many men in that establishment remove their hats? Do you?

It's more about the look than their talent. 2. The masses are stupid enough to enjoy these fake entertainers so the teams give the masses what they want. 3. Always. And if you are near me and don't, I will say something to you.

1. No idea. Maybe a general lack of personal responsibility and accountability.
2. Almost every event I attend has a kid sing it. Regardless of talent it's always good.
3. I always remove the hat and very rarely see someone who doesn't... probably because I don't take my eyes off the flag until the song is over.

One thing about rural central MN that I have come to love is the people. While they may be rather easily "swayed" by government...they are good folks. I've never watched a game in an establishment where men (besides me) remove their hats during the N.A. That's probably because I used to be in a much more urban/suburban area to watch games.
I wonder if the rural vs. urban/suburban deal is pretty universal across the country?

Look at the maps of what counties were red and blue last fall.....
Rural equals red.

Look at the maps of what counties were red and blue last fall..... Rural equals red. What I've noticed locally is that anybody that lives here...takes their hats off. Doesn't matter if it's a game their watching or not, they hear the NA and off come the hats. Folks that don't live here, but who are visiting their lake homes or rec land from more "urban" areas are clueless and don't even know the NA is being sung/played. Maybe the red/blue county is accurate, at least in MN

Saving private Ryan and American Sniper both just finished. 2 of my favorite movies. Flipped back and forth.

They can work miracles with production, fake hair, makeup, and a hell of a tight and tiny set of pants. Look what they did with Sasha Banks, from average nobody to one of the most popular woman wrestlers they've ever had.
