Chestnut crab, Haralson and Liberty... those three I've had survive, thrive. Good choices. Should have a bunch of fruit on the ground from September through October, then have a few scattered drops through November - maybe early December.

My list was aimed moreso at areas from central Mn. and north.
You can get an idea of what does best if you look at local orchards or what local (reliable) nurseries sell.
I always favor crab apples for deer. More hardy and less work.
I have Liberty and Enterprise, but question there use in the long term for any areas north of here.

Do we dare put together a northern Mn and southern Mn recommended list?

Do we dare put together a northern Mn and southern Mn recommended list? Probably be good to know what our options are from Bailey's before going too nuts. I've never seen a Liberty from Bailey's but maybe they offer them elsewhere

Do we dare put together a northern Mn and southern Mn recommended list? If I could asterisk some of the varieties as 'not recommended for above hwy 2' or similar that may suffice and be helpful.

The problem with a place like Baileys we can't look at what is available to tell you. If you could post a pic of the catalog or something so we can help tell you which are good for what that will be majorly helpful.

Brooks- I think I still have your old list from Baileys.
I don't know if Highway 2 is a good zone division. About where Brooks land is and my place seem to divide zones 3 and 4 by the old maps.

Brooks--is this a go for next spring, if so, let me know, I'd order.
