looks like they're patented varieties and most likely will only go to their licensed orchards.

It'll likely take awhile before scions from these trees start "appearing" in scion exchanges. Canadians have had access to Russian pears for quite awhile, but they are still nearly impossible to find in the States.

I ordered 25 one year, no survivors, don't remember the variety.

Nice!! What's another pear I could try in MNI ordered 25 one year, no survivors, don't remember the variety. Ure, Golden Spice, and Early Gold should all be winter hardy to zone 3b, possibly 3a. There are others out there as well, but they're tougher to find. Southworth Vermont Beauty Cabot Vermont Nova Patten Luscious Hudar Stacyville Summercrisp There are more, but those ^^^ are the ones that come to mind

^^^I want some pears on my own damn trees someday They grow pears in Alaska, northern Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, etc.....I should be able to grow some in central Goddamn Minnesota

Cabot Vermont is zone 4a now but, back in the 1970s it was zone 3ab for sure. One of the colder places in Vermont.
