Living in the metro area restricts what you can do so you need to find ways to get out on the water when you can. A couple years ago a buddy of mine introduced me to Kayak fishing on a few of the rivers near the Chippewa Flowage and it does open allot of opportunities. Its quite peaceful and you can hold a position very well. I just got this Kayak and the wheel cart for it. I live across from a 170 acre lake and can wheel the kayak down a path 150 yards from my house and be on the water. The kayak weighs about 75 pounds but is a little awkward to handle. Looks like a great set up. If you feel really adventurous I know there is a group who fish salmon on Lake Michigan with their kayaks.

Looks fun. Nice comfy chair is all I'd need, which it appears you have.
All casts are overhead I take it?

Looks like a great set up. If you feel really adventurous I know there is a group who fish salmon on Lake Michigan with their kayaks. I'm not that brave. Every time I have been salmon fishing I get this odd feeling when the shore disappears. The great lakes make a 20' boat seem tiny. I'll stick to my inland lakes with the Kayak.

There is a harden plastic floor with a strap you can pull yourself up with. You can also buy a tall bar system you can lean into while you fish.
The kayak comes standard with YAK-Attack rails that fit all RAM and Yak accessories. You can load these up just like any boat or ATV. I still need to buy a depth finder, transducer for it and I will probably get a trolling motor for it also.
Kayak has tubes to store the rods in which is nice as I flipped a Kayak going over some rapids on the Chippewa river last year and broke a rod on the shallow river.

...and all my Spotted Cow sank to the bottom of the river!
