I love that with 24-d you can spray then 2 hours later start to see the carnage

I mixed 2 quarts and 1 quart of triclophyr on 1 acre, checked the next day, everything dead.

Hate to say it, but chemicals are a blessing of sorts. But in the same breath I do think about all the residual effects too.
24d is pretty amazing on thistles and stinging nettle around our barn. What is surprising is that I sprayed a month ago and the thistle is still just sick as hell, but its not burned down brown and deader than dead yet.

North neighbors hit some thistles in their ditch with 2-4d over a month ago. They wilted right away and the tops are brown...but the bottom (where the spray didn't hit) are green. I anticipate those thistles will set new blooms towards the bottoms of the plant and still do what thistles do.
Jerry...if 2-4d and triclopyr smoked everything you must not have any grasses.
