I stand fast in my claim that cheap trail cameras only belong on piles of corn for inventory. I would not run an IR camera anywhere I wanted to hunt if you paid me. Unless it was a big pile of cash,.

I got a m880 gen 2 a yr ago March. Within a couple of months it filled with rain water and died. I sent it back and they sent me a brand new one (different model) no questions asked. It quit working a few months later too. Sent it back and they shipped me new M-40 no questions asked. It has worked for a couple of months with no problems (yet). So far their cams have been junk but great customer service and warranty. I sure hope this one lasts a long time because even though I like them sending me a new one every couple of months I would rather just get one that works.

Along Brooks' line of thinking...I've noticed that bucks (any age buck) don't pay much mind to daytime pics from either my Trophy Cams or the Moultrie 880i. Night time pics are different...I get plenty of pics of bucks (and does) looking right at the cam.
Gotta be the IR filter noise, right?

Agree with this, I have 1/2 dozen Moultrie IR cameras in my basement I stopped using them as the bucks stared right at the unit. During night pictures the does would come close but the bucks were always off in the dark fringe. I don't think they like cameras.
I seem to be doing just fine without a camera although I have thought about an elevated black flash camera.
