I am not donating a $500 camera to any trespassers ever again! Aint happening! Do you have a lot of trespassers Mo? In MN we used to. But I took care of that. But anyone can have a guy come through at anytime....

I've got white flash pics of a bunch of bucks from my old place. I've got red blob pics of a bunch of bucks from there and here as well.
I believe that white flash, red blob, and black blob cams all spook a percentage of both does and bucks. Personally, I think it's the sounds they make rather than the flash/blob.

I can dig up some pretty badass footage of a Chevy Vega if anybody is interested. Does not mean you should buy one.

Well...I don't know.
I do know I have a decent number of pics on my old Trophy Cams of the 150"+ buck my SIL shot last year. He ended up dying within a hundred yards of one of the cams that had taken his pics over the course of at least two years. I didn't have his teeth aged, but if he wasn't at least 4.5 last year I'd be really surprised.
Anecdotal I know...but I can say similar things about at least a few of the bucks on my wall and I've seen shit loads of pics from white flash and red blob cams of bucks that were later shot by the cam owners.
I'm just not going to spend what black flash cams cost. Once some new technology comes out that makes the current black flash obsolete, they'll drop in price too...then I'll give 'em a try.

I had many pics of those bucks by dads last year all through fall. My son saw 3 of them one evening chasing a doe. Had one of them at 40 yds.
I know cams impact to a degree. But not every deer reacts the same.
Yea yea. Who am I?? I aint shot a buck in too long.
Cams are fun. Just like food plotting. To each their own.

Black flash only for me. 5 is enough for my 40. 1 moultrie, 4 covert. Both brands have treated me well.

You pro-affordable guys have to realize there are two completely different sets of rules when it comes to deer. There are rules for Northern MN, and rules for every other place in North America. Case in point, look at Catscratch. He could probably stand himself at the edge of his plot with an 1885 camera and the incendiary flash, and his bucks may trot off for a while and come right back. One shot in the face from a red/white flash in northern MN, and you've gotten your first and last pic of that big buck. Catscratch's setup.

Fact is I only have one trailcam and now it never leaves the yard. Two things about putting them out there on hunting spots: 1 - I have witnessed bucks walk up to a cam, turn around and walk away never to be seen again or have even one pic of them taken. 2 - I like to check cams and have found bucks tend to start skirting areas that I frequent (if it's not the yard where I frequent it all the time). C - I have less fun hunting when I think I know what is exactly out there. When I don't see the big one I think I "should" it wasn't a successful hunt. More fun to be surprised. You pic of me and my setup in the living-room is spot on right.
