Your beans/corn/brassicas are in my all time top ten favorite habitat pics.

What maturity group are your beans in that setup? Or did they get browsed away before they could mature?

What maturity group are your beans in that setup? Or did they get browsed away before they could mature? It didn't matter the maturity. The deer never let them get over 6" tall anyways. But it helped take the pressure off the corn that was planted.

New corn on the right, then old corn and beans planted in the MoBuck method. Even this year I had deer walking down the soybean lanes. I got a bit of rye just to the left of the new corn, but pretty much skipped the brassica. They are a waste of time for me. I talked to my neighbor about planting the bean corn mix again this year, but he says it is diificult for him to spray with his current mixes. We might leave two of the corn rows empty and come back later with a two row bean planting. Problem is that I currently have a lot of corn left in this field.

Its the same plot from start to finish! Are the beans and radishes different rows, or do you broadcast brassica's after the beans are wiped out?

The 2 rows of beans are planted in the spring the same time as the corn. Then using those 2 bean rows as access, I drive through the plot broadcasting Brassicas on top of the beans rows and into the corn rows around August 1st in MO, and around July first in MN. Then pray for a big rain to pound them in the ground and get them germinated.

That's a pretty kick ass looking kill plot. Anyone shoot anything off of it this year?

That's a pretty kick ass looking kill plot. Anyone shoot anything off of it this year? Nope! Only hunted it twice I think. Thats the problem with having over 50 deer stands. You never know which one to sit in.
