Ha, I can count on my fingers and toes how many apple/crab trees I know about in my part of the state. If I found someone with a dolgo I would buy lottery tickets on my way home as it's my lucky day! I checked my records and they show that I ordered and planted a dolgo in that spot (that's what I think I did anyway). I also checked the Wildlife Group's website and this is what it said about their doglo: "The fruit drops very slowly and will persist into December.". I guess it doesn't matter much as I can't do anything about it either way, and I still plan on saving seed to plant from it. If it grows well for you and drops when you want it to...it doesn't matter what variety it is If you want more of that exact tree, graft 'em up and you're good to go

I planted in in 2015 and it produced a few it's first yr and quite a lot this yr. They are still holding strong and it doesn't seem to be having problems with disease. It has moved along faster than other trees I've planted.

If it ends up holding longer than you'd like, just go shake the shit out of it.
