I thought there was a beer thread, but apparently I've either had too many or my memory sucks I was in WI a couple days ago and picked up 2 cases of Autumnal Fire from Capitol Brewing. As good a beer as I've had.

What style is it? Dark or light? It's basically an "advanced" Octoberfest

I like beer and hearing about all the out of state beers. Swore we had a beer thread already.
I wanted to drink beer today but the kid wanted to sort a bunch of 1,500lb steers to get ready to go for slaughter tomorrow. And I ain't that fast anymore, wanted to be in top speed mode in case I had to jump a fence. Just got done now, so I will go raid the kids fridge.

The beer thread I thought we had must've been on Jim's forum? Not a big deal either way, I'm sure the discussion on any such thread is/was far from "intellectual" We're heading to WI next weekend for fall colors and supper clubs....maybe we'll run into some more good brews

Fond du lac...in the Fox River Valley...great area, too "peopley" for me at this point in my life New Glarus brewing is the home of Spotted Cow and other great brews newglarusbrewing.com/WI is as close to heaven for a guy who loves beer as is possible.

If you head over towards the east, find one called Dancing Man Wheat! YUM! New Glarus brews some great stuff I was in Sconny last week. Before coming back.....I picked up a couple of sixers or New Galius beer. I like spotted cow.....nearly as much as Grain Belt Nordeast. But I can live without their Octoberfest Staghorn beer. Still...it's a good "one beer" taste. They are all good.....just that some are eggcellent! STILL....When push comes to shove......I'D take Kilt Lifter above almost any Sconny. Go to OZ to experience the best. (Couple of MN boys that made out well)

Each brewery/brew master has strengths and weaknesses....New Glarus Brewing is not my "go to" for good Octoberfest style brews.
