I get everything except the cheese. Binder? Fats are good, and good sources of calories without the sticking power of bread and sugar. Nutrition "science" is driven by money. Believe none of it. Just as we have problems with deer groups secretly championing the destruction of the deer herd, the same is going on in nutrition and disease research. If any of these organizations achieved their stated missions, they'd all be out of work. Things get worse, they get raises.

I have cut most of the grains out of my life and am healthier for it. Meat and veggies mostly but little grains. When it comes to cheeses im a Gouda fan.

Why do the cheese makers out west dye their cheddar orange? It’s all white back east.

For those who don’t eat grain, how about steel cut oats? Real oats not the processed Quaker stuff.
I have been reducing bread but I still eat oats a couple times per week. They are supposed to reduce cholesterol.

They are supposed to reduce cholesterol. I think they're a net benefit. Real oatmeal has about 15-20% carb-fiber in it. Eaten at breakfast, should be a nice boost to the day, and you have all day to burn it off.

Cheddar can be white? My guess is the guys out east are bleaching it. Cow milk is white here in the northeast. Is it orange in Kansas? I’ve got to see if they stock Wisconsin cheese in my local stores and try it.

But, apparently when Wisconsinites pastured milk cattle on carrots the milk was orange (or rich goldent). I suppose that an egg shell and yoke color discussion is next?

I will see if I can find any yellow and try it. Im not a velveeta type eater so I’ve only had the orange with pizza cheese or tacos. Do they have Cabot cheese out there? That’s the big producer here in the northeast.

OK, are you a member of the cheese underground? Funny how serious people take things Ike cheese. Maybe this is the next organization Brooks needs to start, "The Deer Underground ". If the Minnesota DNR gets its way all the Minnesota deer organizations will be DNR affiliates so we will need a resistance group.

We don't have cheese caves around that I'm aware of though. I don't remember seeing any Cabots at the store. We do get Tillamook brand. It's out of Oregon, I've toured the factory before and sampled everything I could. You guys know what's hard to find here are curds. I can gorge myself on cheese curds but never can buy them.

I haven’t seen curds locally the other big thing here is the farmers combining to make local ice cream. It’s so much better than store bought.
