Happy hunter in OTC. Who needs Missouri?

Ok, maybe the topic title is a bit skewed..... But bear with me.
I had posted some trail cam pics of a buck we had on camera on a farm next to my parents house over the late summer and early fall.
He was very active on cam during all hours of the day and night. My son saw him a couple times while hunting but well across the field by other stands. About 3 weeks ago he went absent. No sightings and no trail cam pics.
This morning my son Brandon saw a very nice buck about 8:30 walking a fenceline heading north. The only thing north is a lake with a lot of lowland swampy stuff. The elite hunter that I am(take that with a grain of salt), I told him he needs to sit in the stand adjacent to that swamp this evening, because there is only one reason he was headed that way...... To bed.
Brandon went out at 3 this afternoon. It started raining about 5:15 and he turned around to zip up his backpack and 10 yds behind the stand stood the buck. The buck just meandered around and had no care in the world, and walked out on a trail under 10 yds from the stand. Brandon grunted to stop the buck and the damn thing looked the opposite direction and was lightly quartering away. Rage in the cage. He center punched the heart and he ran out across the cut wheat field and toppled out in the wheat stubble. Talk about a nice recovery.
I am on hotspot on my cell phone and I am out of data, so I am now throttled back to 3G service and it sucks. will try to get some pics up. Not sure how well it will work or if it will work.
