I have a great case study from my place. When i get home i will type it up. All the details. Distances, sightings, two guys hunting on two sides of a baited propery... all of it. Shocking to say the least.

I say shitty deer numbers. Not baiting. Need deer to bait em. I tend to agree. If my north neighbors are baiting, they haven't used it to their benefit much. They've taken two does off around 400 acres with about a dozen hunters.

My neighbors are not baiting. I know that. They may be meat hogs but they are not baiting.
We had 2 deer total shot on all land adjacent to us. Unbelieveable compared to years past.
The sighting reports I got from the ones I texted were dismal.... I am so happy they didnt shoot deer. I consider it a successful year. Now I have ammo to tell em.... Hey, you do realize smoking every deer you see leads to this, right???

I took a small buck tonight. It's gonna get cold now.....and I decided to end my hunt with a good eating buck. A small six point buck. 165 lbs. Nothing to brag on......I just wanted some good venison and to end my hunt now as I got other stuff going on.. I"m happy. Gutted him pretty quickly and left him to hang overnight......and went to the VFW for chicken wings and drinks with some hunting buddies. Fun night.

High in the teens tomorrow, low in the single digits. A bit too early for this shit IMHO. It does look like we get back to upper 30s and low 40s next week.

This one was in my driveway this morning. Maybe he better not walk by me.

Poorest season so far, 5 deer shot around us. The neighbor to the north usually has six down the first day, this year opening day shooting twice, next day once. usually 8 hunters on 70 acres. 3 8 pointers, small buck and a doe were the ones harvested.

I think its was the quietest opener I've ever heard. This year we (246) went from lottery to hunter choice so I expected more shooting. I only saw a doe and a fawn.
